The Flatbread Company was founded in 2008 and began production the following year. In the initial two years, the company focused on the manufacture of thin crust pizza bases for the foodservice sector, primarily in the UK.
In April 2011, the company started to manufacture tortillas for the Irish and UK markets, with sales growing consistently across the sector in ambient and frozen products.
Unfortunately, the company suffered a fire in January 2015, destroying the entire production facility. The management team worked tirelessly to rebuild a new state-of-the-art plant now in Tullamore.
Since reopening the new bakery, The Flatbread Company has excelled, growing its product ranges, customers and markets in the process.
