PLMA had a record number of attendees this year, highlighting the importance of private label to consumers at this time. This was a successful show for many Irish suppliers, connecting them with key international customers.

Innovation was a key theme at PLMA as presented by the Idea Supermarket and the International Salute to Excellence Awards. Two Irish suppliers were displayed in the Idea Supermarket; Glenilen for their Live Yoghurt with Irish Blackberry and Strawberry and East Coast Bakehouse for their Vegan Cookies in 4 different flavours. Other key private label trends from the show also included protein alternatives as well as sustainable and reduced packaging.
