In 2007 Ed O’ Donnell, a young seventh generation farmer wanted to diversify as farming was looking bleak at the time.
He saw a niche in the market for an Irish hand cooked crisp and decided to make crisps from the potatoes grown on his farm.
Since the 1700s over seven generations of the O’Donnell family have lived on Seskin Farm, Co. Tipperary and have mastered the art of cultivating the perfect potato. Today we bring our hard won expertise as well as the name, to realise the finest of hand cooked crisps.
O’Donnells Crisps launched in June 2010 and were lucky to receive an exclusive deal with Musgrave Retail Partners Ireland. For three months O’ Donnells crisps were supplied exclusively to 192 Supervalu and 474 Centra stores nationwide and lucky for us they were a big hit straight away! Since then O’Donnells are available nationwide in Supervalu, Centra, Spar, Mace, Londis, Costcutter, Dunnes, Tesco, local delis, forecourts and other retail outlets.
