Origin Green Sustainability Programme
- • The Kearney’s Home baking sustainability journey has led us down many different paths to help our environment and community. These are some of the things we have achieved or completed to date as we enter year five of the five-year programme.
- • Currently recycle 100% of our waste food.
- • Reduced our food returns to 2.2%.
- • Changed over to all LED Lighting in our factory.
- • Installing 49KW Solar PV Panel system.
- • Increased Community and club sponsorships year on year.
- • Set up a Gluten free manufacturing unit to manufacture gluten free products as part of our Health and Nutrition Plan.
- • 88% of our ingredients are now purchased from Origin Green Suppliers.
- • 72% of our ingredients have sustainability certifications.
- • Repak members and signed up for Repak’s plastic pledge.
- • EPA’S food waste charter members.
- • Install a state-of-the-art wastewater treatment system (Sequential Batch Reactor Technology).
- • Installed water meters to measure our water usage and reduce wastage.
