Oceanpath was founded by the Ecock family in 1991 in, Howth, Co. Dublin. Since then, we have grown to become one of the largest seafood processors in Ireland.
We supply fish to all major Irish retailers and food service as well as export. Our highly trained staff continue to adapt to an ever-changing market, and we invested heavily in the areas of quality management and a state-of-the-art traceability system.
In 2006, Oceanpath acquired Dunn’s of Dublin and in 2020 Carr & Sons joined the Oceanpath group ,which enabled us to further diversify our products with the highlights being our delicious traditional smoked salmon and smoked mackerel. Dunn’s of Dublin is Ireland’s oldest fish company which was set up in 1822.
Renowned worldwide for our smoked salmon, we now produce several varieties of both hot and cold smoked fish including Irish, organic, wild and farmed salmon. Quality and taste have been the hallmark of Carr & Sons for over 50 years. This has been preserved in the wide range of fresh and ready to eat seafood products, which subtly combine the traditional taste of Ireland with the needs of the modern consumer.
In 2018 Oceanpath became part of the Iceland Seafood group.
