Origin Green Sustainability Programme
Key Sustainability Commitments Committed to Responsible Sourcing: Divilly’s currently source 43% of raw materials from suppliers that have sustainability programs in place such as Origin Green members, British Retail Consortium and Global Food Safety Initiative. Targets are in place to source raw materials from suppliers that have recognised Food Safety/Quality and Sustainability programs in place, 50% by the end of December 2019 and 80% by the end of December 2022. Reducing their Environmental Impact: Divilly’s aim to reduce their energy consumption by 10%, water consumption by 5% and waste produced by 5% by the end of December 2022. Focus on Health and Nutrition: Plans are in place to add a minimum of one new product per annum under the “Less is Best” range, a range of sliced meats containing a lower salt content, no added water and no MSG.
